Description Bike Tour Rome
It is said that Rome is the most beautiful city in the world.
As early as 2000 years ago, the Eternal City was at the center of the largest Empire ever known.
Even today, those who visit Rome can realize the majesty of this city through the places and symbols that have characterized its history: the myth of its foundation, the expansion of the Roman Empire to the East, the birth of Christianity, the Renaissance, the Baroque and the dawn of the modern metropolis.
These eras, so different and distant, are visible from the seven hills on which Rome was built.
Crossing the historic center, it is possible to arrive on the hills where you will recognize the most famous monuments but where you will discover domes, roofs and enjoy a breathtaking view in a calm and magical atmosphere.
The hills of Rome have always been one of the most popular tourist destinations for travelers from all over the world and are at the same time one of the distinguishing features of the eternal city. A tour of the hills is a unique way to discover Rome with your own eyes. The tour begins near the opera house to reach the Quirinale hill, home to the presidential palace. From here you can admire the dome of St. Peter’s. Continuing through Trinità dei Monti, we will reach the Pincio from where it will be possible to observe the solemnity of Baroque Rome and, after a short while, we will find ourselves crossing some symbolic places of the capital such as the Pantheon and Piazza Navona.
Arriving at the Campidoglio, today the seat of the Municipality, we will enjoy the view of the Imperial Forums and then continue to the Aventine from which you will see the most beautiful view of the City.
Following the course of the Tiber river, we will discover the most beautiful bridges up to Castel Sant’Angelo, where the tour will end. It is a route with many climbs: to fully enjoy this itinerary, you must be a person accustomed to riding a bike even uphill. For those less accustomed to pedaling, but who do not want to give up the charm of the bicycle, it is possible to rent a latest generation E-Bike that will make the route less demanding. The tour is available in a Private version, just send an email to tour@bicibaci.com to be contacted by our staff who will organize the service according to your needs.
